Contact

All contact regarding commissions should be made through @Heskynn on Telegram unless otherwise agreed.

Payment

Payment is requested through PayPal via invoicing.

Invoices detail the price and scope of the commission, please do not send payment unprompted. Invoices are sent after the initial rough sketch has been shared an approved.
Tips are welcome but not expected and can be sent to the above email and are enabled in the invoicing. Tips will not raise your priority in the work queue.

Alternate forms of payment such as direct bank transfer are available on discussion.

All payments are invoiced, PayPal or no. Do NOT send payment before receiving an invoice (24/08/25).

Additional Fees

  • Rush Pieces: due to the artist’s time limitations they can not currently do rush jobs, if the client has a specific deadline to meet, they can be advised as to whether or not it is feasible, there is therefore no additional charge.

  • Revisions: the artist allows for two rounds of edits at both the line art and sketch stages with no additional charge. Edits that are a result of miscommunication or artist error are free of charge (for example: where a design element is clearly visible on the reference but is missed by the artist). Beyond this edits will incur an additional charge of £5 per round of edits.

  • Private or Anonymous Commissions:

    • Anonymous commissions are those that do not have a name attached to them, there is no extra charge for this. The client is welcome to change their mind at any time and publicly claim the commission.

    • Private commissions are those that the artist does not post anywhere publicly, these are not currently available.

    • Delayed posting: for works that will be posted publicly, but not immediately e.g. for a surprise gift, or scheduled release. There is no additional charge for this. The artist does request a date after which they are free to post the work.

  • Complex Backgrounds/Settings: The complexity of the background will be based on what sort of setting the commissioner has requested, against how well it suits the character and the overall commission, and is part of the base price, however it is based on the presumption that there is little to no specific detail unique to the character or their setting. Additional requested details, such as specific items, or fully detailed cluttered shelving etc… May incur an additional cost, depending on the request and is decided on a case-by-case basis.

  • Design Work: there may be an additional fee for design work, this is decided on a case-by-case basis, and is based on the presumption that there will be many repeated exchanges of sketches.

  • Alternate Versions or Additional Elements: for example: versions with or without clothing or additional detail panels, may incur an additional fee, priced on a case-by-case basis. (24/08/25)

Original Sales, Shipping, Prints

  • Originals: where traditionally produced work is involved, the original can be purchased. Where digital pieces are involved no original is provided, though the .psd/.clip file can be provided in the case of reference sheets.

Prints are not available at this time.

Work Process

Additional updates may be shared on discussion or artist’s discretion, updates are usually shared after major edits, even when other progress is not achieved. The following information is based on fully rendered (24/08/25) digital commissions, all stages and levels of edits may not be available for other forms of artwork (24/08/25).

  • SHARED - Initial Sketch: a rough sketch to capture the pose/composition, depending on the complexity of the character this may include more or fewer details, but is intended only as a guide to the over all form.
  • SHARED - Refined Sketch: A tidier sketch showing the details of the character, including major design elements, hair, clothing etc… This may include a rough colour pass and/or rough background pass.
  • SHARED - Line Art: The clean line art of the character, usually on a mostly refined but unfinished background.
  • SHARED - Flat Colours: this may be combined with the line art stage depending on the complexity of the design, more complex colour palettes are usually shown at a separate stage. The background is usually completed at this stage.
  • NOT-SHARED - Shading in Greys: all the shading for the character (usually 3-5 layers) worked out in shades of grey.
  • NOT-SHARED - Shading Colours: the shading layers are applied to the various colour layers and in turn coloured appropriately.
  • SHARED - Rendering: the final painted areas are completed, including detailing on the character, gradient maps etc…
  • Emailed files: the final images are provided to the client, final edits are made at this stage.
  • Purchase of Originals/Prints: if not already discussed, the artist will update the client will delivery times as they become available.

  • Retains the right to make changes or edits to cancelled/completed work, modified versions will not involve copyrighted material owned by anyone other than the artist.

Commission references and descriptions:

Drawn and photo references are accepted, as are written descriptions without accompanying images--not including portraits of real people or animals where photo references are required.

The artist will not work from "AI" generated images, while the artist understands that it is becoming harder to identify this material, they will presume after three warnings or a refusal to change out "AI" references when asked, that it is deliberate. The artist will no longer work with the client at this point. The artist encourages the client to ask for help in sourcing appropriate references if they have concerns in this area.

Where the client provides reference material. they are (24.08.25) responsible for providing clear reference material, edits incurred through unclear material, such as contradictory references, may incur additional fees.
